A remake tale, the story begins in a village in Tamil Nadu. A landlord (kota) is ruling the village with muscle power. This is opposed by father (vijayakumar) of Mambattiyan (prashant). However, he gets killed by the landlord and Mambattiyan revolts. He joins with a group of his friends and goes into the forest. From there, he attacks the rich people and gives their wealth to the poor. He becomes the Robinhood for the villagers. On the other hand, there is a love track going on with Kannathal (meera). A tough cop Ranjith (prakash raj) gets into the trail of Mambattiyan. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
